Elizabeth and Shelly Beaches

Situated at the northern end of Pacific Palms, Elizabeth beach is patrolled and has become the most popular family beach in the Pacific Palms district.You can launch boats at the southern end of Elizabeth beach and there is a surf club. At the southern end of Elizabeth beach there is a pathway to the smaller Shelly beach. It is intimate and secluded and edged by rocky outcrops and the Booti Booti National Park which offers sensational walking tracks and some of the best views in the region. It was become popular as a nudist beach although many people remain clothed.

Boomerang Beach

Pacific Palms best surfing beach with rock ledges helping to form great waves. It plays host to many surfing competions and is a magnet for surfers. The beach is “boomerang” shaped and is ideal for swimming with protection from the prevailing winds at either end. It is also patrolled during the holiday season. At the beach’s northern end is Charlotte Head, a rocky headland which rises above the ocean.

Blueys Beach

Alongside Boomerang beach is Blueys beach another perfect surfing and swimming beach. There is no beach patrol on Blueys.

Smiths Lake and Sandbar

Located 5 km south of Blueys beach is Smiths lake. It is situated between Wallis and Myall lakes and offers warm, calm waters separated from the ocean by a sandbar formation. It is an ideal place to swim, fish, kayak, sail ski or hire a boat and paddle around. Fishing boats and jet skis are also allowed.
